Big thanks to everyone that has paid their $200 levy fees (totaling $600 dollars over the 3 years) from the past and present years. This money went to building the awesome fire hall to better serve the community and has been very useful the last few years when emergencies arouse right here at Paint Lake.
If you haven't paid, you have to send your cheque via mail to the Minister of Finance (200 Salteaux Cres, Box 51, Wpg, MB, R3J 3W3 and not to the place where you pay your land tax (Crown Lands and Property Agency).
You can also drop off a payment at the next AGM or to a board member if you wish. I also believe the Parks office in Thompson will take the payment. Just be sure to bring your remittance stub.
For those of you who haven't paid the last three years we would like to know why. You can either contact a board member directly, discuss in the AGM or send us an email: email@example.com. This money has gone directly to providing the fire hall building portion that was needed in the community and also helped reduce your annual insurance premium.
Unfortunately if we don't have the money by the end of the summer the committee will be looking at escalating this matter and collection process.
Hope everyone has a fun and safe summer!!!
